The latest DT Max program update is now available for downloading. It features the T2 program for fiscal periods ending from 2001 to 2015 and fully supports Corporation Internet Filing (T2, CO-17 and AT1). It also features the fully functional T5013 program for paper and electronic filing of the Partnership Information Return (T5013 forms) for fiscal periods ending in 2014. Installing this version will update your version of DT Max to 18.15.

Please note that all program versions are first made available on the Internet.

1. Version highlights

  1. DT Impressions now available for DT Max T2

    DT Impressions, the exclusive partner of DT Professional Suite, is a supplier of quality presentation folders and window envelopes for professional tax preparers. These products have been approved by the technical developers of DT Professional Suite to work with the cover pages available in this version of DT Max T2.   2. Quebec form MR-69: changes pertaining to boxes 20 and 21

    Starting with version 18.15, with respect to Part 3 of Form MR-69 "Information, documents, period and taxation years covered by the authorization or power of attorney", DT Max will select by default Box 21, "All information held by Revenu Québec with regards to the person identified in Part 1 for the application or enforcement of Québec tax legislation and the Excise Tax Act", instead of Box 20.

    In addition, users will now be able to select box 21 as the default option for Part 3 of the aforementioned form through the Preferences menu, by clicking on Preferences /User's defaults/Tax return and selecting in the "Authorization form" box, from the "Account(s)" drop-down menu, the option "All files at RQ on tax legislation and Excise tax (box 21)".

  3. Changes to Quebec form CO-1029.8.36.PM

    Two new tick boxes have been added in Part 1 (Information on the corporation). Box 7 is used to claim qualifying labour expenditures incurred before June 5, 2014, or under a contract entered into before June 4, 2014. Box 8 is used to claim qualifying labour expenditures incurred after June 4, 2014, or under a contract entered into after June 3, 2014.

    Box 7 will be ticked when choosing option "CO-1029.8.36.PM exp. bef 05/06/14 or contract bef. 04/06/14" with the keyword MultiMedia . Box 8 will be ticked when you choose the option "CO-1029.8.36.PM exp. aft 04/06/14 or contract aft. 03/06/14" with the same keyword.

    A new keyword, Cr-AssistRepay (in the MultiMedia group) has been added in order to enter an amount on the revised line 80. Use this keyword to enter the tax credit regarding assistance, a benefit, or an advantage that is related to an expenditure made in a previous tax year and that was repaid in the year.

    The keywords REPAYMENT.M and REPAID-AMT have been deleted for this form. The amount entered previously for the keyword REPAID-AMT used to be the amount of assistance, benefit, or advantage related to the qualified labour expenditure from a previous year that was repaid (or deemed repaid) by the corporation during the year. Please make sure to verify the data entry and adjust accordingly.
